This is the video of a previous student's thriller movie opening. To begin, they inputted the production companies name. It shows a close up of a hand turning on a tap. This builds suspense as the identity of the person is unknown. There is a mid shot of the aggressor from the back which also creates tension as her as well as the victim is unidentified, there is also the sound of footsteps against silence. It then shows the victim again who is undressed in a closed space which makes him appear very vulnerable. The aggressor's feet are shown slowly yet loudly with purpose walking up the stairs. The face is still not shown. The lighting is very dark and dull connoting danger. There is a close up of the victims face which shows his blank unaware facial expression and clueless state. Again, the aggressor is filmed walking through an almost pitch black corridor creating only shadows and her silhouette. The camera follows the aggressor as she walks towards the room in which he is in which allows the audience to engage in her twisted journey. There is a wide shot where we can see she is in the same space as him but he cannot see her. This is thrilling as we are in a more knowledged position as him. The camera cuts into her smelling his jacket then dark and pitchy non diagetic music fades in. It gets louder and a few mid shots are used where we can see both characters who cannot see eachother which builds the tension. As she stabs him we see a mix of some interesting shots which could be classed as POV and mid shots. The knife is shown and there are loud thumps to symbolise it going into him. The last shot is of the victims foot which blood dripping which adds to the dark thrilling atmosphere after the occurance.
